Reimagining car parking with a more traditional vehicle.
PARK(ing) Day is a global event where citizens, artists and activists collaborate to temporarily transform parking spaces into “PARK(ing)” spaces: temporary public places. In Panmure, the park became the temporary home for a team of artisans carving a waka (Māori Canoe). Part performance, part workshop, the craftsman behind the tools used the medium of whakairo to highlight the history of the area.
